The room

Aurora delivered a bespoke sensory room solution for Birkett House School, providing a calm, adaptable space where pupils can regulate themselves, develop key skills and engage with sensory experiences at their own pace. Designed to support specialist teaching, including work with young people with visual impairment, the room can be darkened to create a controlled environment where pupils and adults can operate switch-controlled lighting to introduce visual stimuli and contrast. The solution provides a versatile resource that supports sensory regulation, visual development, independence and personalised learning.
