About the customer
Discovery Special Academy is a co-educational special academy in Middlesbrough, part of the Tees Valley Education Trust, providing education for children and young people aged 3–16 with severe learning difficulties and a range of additional needs, including communication, physical, sensory and medical needs. The academy offers a highly personalised and holistic approach to learning, with pupils’ individual needs, strengths and aspirations at the centre of its provision.
The room
Aurora created a bespoke immersive room for Discovery Special Academy, providing a flexible environment where pupils can explore learning through immersive visual experiences. The space supports the academy's personalised approach, giving staff another way to engage pupils with different abilities, communication needs and learning styles.
