About the customer
Epinay School is a specialist school in South Shields, Tyne & Wear, providing education for up to 225 children and young people aged 4–18 with a wide range of special educational and complex needs, including significant learning difficulties, learning disabilities, autism and communication or functional needs. The school offers a personalised, needs-led curriculum across several phases, with specialist life-skills and 16–18 provision, alongside vocational and qualification pathways designed to prepare pupils for adulthood.
The room
Aurora created an immersive learning environment for Epinay School, providing a flexible space where pupils with complex learning and communication needs can explore curriculum content through interactive visual experiences. Wizefloor technology adds movement and interaction, helping staff create engaging, personalised activities.
It’s been fabulous working with Aurora, you’ve delivered everything that we asked for. You’ve thought about what will actually work for us and you’ve provided the ideal room for our children. This room will be timetabled every lesson, by different age groups, different subjects, and specialisms, so that it will enrich the curriculum right across the school for all our ages.
